Upcoming Events

Hey PAWS members!
Here's an update of the upcoming events PAWS has planned.

AVIARY VOLUNTEERING
Tuesday, October 16th 7-9pm
We will be volunteering at the Westdale Aviary this coming tuesday! Unfortunately the group must be limited to 6 general members. Rebecca and Janice will be the exec members present at the event. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email paws@mcmaster.ca to let us know. Emails up to Thursday, October 11 at 11:59 pm will be considered for a spot. Pending how many people are interested in coming, a lottery system will be used to determine the members that will fill the six spots.

Trick or Eat
Wednesday, October 31
Trick or Eat is organized with many clubs from Mac. We go door to door and collect canned goods (it's like trick or treating, but with donatable foods!). Whether you're able to make it out or not, feel free to join the PAWS trick or eat team to help raise funds for a good cause! Just go to the trick or eat site http://trickoreat.ca/click "register" and follow the instructions.  Our team name is "PAWS"

SUBCOMMITTEES
email by October 21st at 11:59 pm
We have two subcommittees this year that general members can join to get more involved with the club. The two subcommittees are the Events Subcommittee the Public Relations Subcommittee. Joining a subcommittee is a great way to get involved with PAWS, get to know the execs, and learn more about current animal issues. We're looking for 3-4 people for each subcommittee. If you're interested, send us an email letting us know which subcommittee you're interested in and provide an explanation as to why. We will be accepting applications until Sunday October 21st at 11:59pm. For a description of the the roles of the subcommittees, please visit the "Volunteer Tab" on this website.
Love,
Your PAWS exec 2012/13

MOVIE NIGHT

Hey PAWS members!

We are hosting our first movie night this Thursday, October 4th!

We will be showing a documentary to help inform people about wild life rehabilitation. There is no admission fee but PAWS is fundraising for the Toronto Wildlife Centre this month, so you are always welcomed to donate. Drinks and snacks will be provided! Prior to the movie showing, we will be holding our second general meeting to discuss about upcoming events, including the Aviary Volunteer Night.

Bring your friends! Everyone is welcomed!

Hope to see you all there,
PAWS exec 2012/2013
